According to the ” Madan Nameh ” news website,
Referring to the exploration achievements of the Sangan iron ore complex, Talebi said: “For the first time, the deepest exploration borehole of this complex has been drilled.”
This borehole is located in the southern C anomaly and its depth has reached 1,700 meters.
The results of the surveys have also confirmed the existence of iron ore mineralization up to a depth of 933 meters.
Continuing drilling in Anomaly A
He added: “Three deep boreholes are being drilled simultaneously in Anomaly A.”
One of these boreholes has so far reached a depth of 1,578 meters.
Based on initial results, high-grade iron ore deposits have been identified up to a depth of 1,100 meters in this area.
Possible increase in Sangan iron ore reserves
The director of the Sangan Iron Ore Complex considered these results important for the future of exploration activities.
According to him, the new excavations have opened up a bright horizon for the development of exploration.
Upon completion of exploration operations, a final estimate of reserves will also be made.
It is expected that after the completion of the studies, the iron ore reserves of the Sangan complex will increase by several hundred million tons.
Sustainable supply of feed for the steel industry
Increasing iron ore reserves can help provide a sustainable supply of feed for the country’s steel industry.
Also, the development of exploration and mining operations can provide the basis for the growth of the Sangan mining and industrial region.
As a result, this achievement, in addition to increasing reserves, will also affect the economic development of the region.
